Short, because there is not much to say.
This site runs no analytics, no tracking pixels, and no advertising scripts. It sets no cookies. Nobody is building a profile of you here, and I could not tell you how many people read any given page.
If you send me something through the form, it collects your name, your email address, your organization if you choose to give it, and your message. That is all it asks for and all it stores.
The form is handled by Netlify, who host this site. A submission is stored in the site's Netlify account and emailed to me. I use it to reply to you and to keep track of a conversation if one starts. It does not go to a mailing list, it is not sold, and it is not shared with anyone else.
If you want a submission deleted, email me at hey@steventrotter.com and I will delete it from both places.
The pages, the stylesheet, the images, and the small amount of JavaScript all come from this domain.
One exception, and it is worth naming rather than glossing: the two typefaces are requested from Google Fonts, at fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Loading a font from Google means your browser makes a request to Google, and that request carries your IP address, the same as any request to any server. No cookie is set and nothing is stored on this end. I intend to serve the fonts from this domain instead, which removes the request entirely.
Links to other sites are ordinary links. Nothing is loaded from them unless you click.
Netlify keeps standard web server records for the requests that reach this site. I do not add to them, and I do not use them for anything.
